Social Studies 1st Advanced - Special Project
Dear Students,
For next Tuesday 20th November, please hand in:
1. Your completed timeline of Latin American Independence that we started working on in class on Tuesday. All the information on the dates can be found in your textbook.
For next Thursday 22 November, please hand in:
2. A special research project (worth 20% of your November ,mark) on one of these countries:
Peru/Colombia/Venezuela/Argentina/Chile/Brazil.
Questions to answer (analytically, not just copy and past from Wikipedia please!!)
1. Describe the process of independence from European rule in the country (main dates, leaders, issues)
2. Describe life before and after independence in the country:
a) Include a map of the country and any territory changes due to independence
b) Describe the economy of the country before and after independence
c) Describe social changes as a result of independence
d) Examine the influence of "caudillos" in the country after independence.
If you do not have your textbook still, it is your responsibility to make photocopies in order to do your work.

1.-Terminar la guía, explicando cada punto con profundidad.
2.-Preparar la presentación de las enfermedades de nutrición para el miércoles.
3.-Estudiar para examen oral y mejorar la calificación.
4.-Entregar el cuaderno para revisión.
5.-Quedarse a nivelación los Martes y Miércoles de ser necesario.
